Refiners' Club
SI costs several hundred dollars a month to operate. If we’re going to grow the site, though, we have to do more than break even. Conference and interview opportunities await funds for travel expenses, bandwidth and server upgrades will be needed. Most of all, we’d love to start compensating writers for their articles.
Though we have revenue options we’re exploring and developing, it appears likely that funding a thriving site will require the ongoing support of at least some of those who use the site. Accordingly, we’ve launched the Refiners’ Club.
The Refiner’s Club
A $100 contribution to SI buys membership in the Refiner’s Club for one year. For making the commitment to support SI in this way, every Refiners Club (RC) member will receive the following:
- the Refiner icon on his or her user name
- A SharperIrion Refiners coffee mug
- access to Refiners-only quarterly meetings with the Admin Team (exclusive discussion thread or live chat) to ask questions and share views on what’s going well, what isn’t, what should change, what shouldn’t, and so on
Membership for six months is available for $50.
