One can be very thankful that more churches are putting policies, even imperfect ones, in place, but what strikes me as most helpful is when J.D. Greear expressed gratitude for those who spoke up and reported on this. It’s a nice change from what has been seen too often before; attacks on accusers, circling the wagons, minimization of the offense, and the like, and it bears a lot of promise for changing the culture.

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
