“The College of the Ozarks, a four-year liberal arts college in Point Lookout, filed a lawsuit in response to a February order from the Department of Housing and Urban Development that forces any entities that receive federal dollars covered by the Fair Housing Act to place transgender-identified biological males into female dormitories and assign them as females’ roommates.” - C. NewWhat I'd expect

Thu, 04/22/21

I’d expect the libertines to periodically declare themselves “trans” so they could share a room with their girlfriends and save the cost of a single room, which is how they did it when I was at Michigan State. Then when they broke up, instead of the boy just walking down the hall back to the room where he was supposed to sleep, it would be a real mess. I’d also expect some people to audition for Megan’s List by declaring himself “trans” so he could ogle (or worse) a girl in her bedroom, and all the girls in the bathrooms.

Really, this isn’t for the most part about people who genuinely have gender dysphoria, but about what people who are not “trans” would do with that cover. I don’t know what we really ought to do to be compassionate to those who are really “trans”, but I would hope that we could do so without completely gutting protections that we have in place for women.

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
