....we might do better at spiritual disciplines if we had a tighter link between physical, athletic discipline and spiritual discipline. Not that we need to train like a Greek athlete, but the reminder that we need to "work up a little sweat" might cue us to understand the effort that is necesssary--and then "feel the burn" as our spiritual muscles are strengthened.

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
