On Steve Lawson and a Possible Interview

“After our conversation, he asked those counseling him if they felt it would be prudent to let him speak from the heart in a video interview at our church in Mobile. The idea is that I would interview him and release the video if, and only if, his family, his counselors, OnePassion’s board, and the elders at TBC were all in agreement.” - Clint Archer

NewTransparency

Mon, 01/27/25

I don’t know much about the case but, as grievous as full transparency might be for innocent/relatively innocent parties, that is still almost always the best option in my experience—at least, when people who have had such a public/high-visibility ministry are at the center.

Silence is where rumors congregate and multiply, which ultimately hurts everyone more than just coming clean an getting it over with. I can feel Clint’s heartbreak in this post and I believe he would handle the matter with sensitivity as well as firmness on the principles, so I hope he gets his opportunity to help clear some things up.

Views expressed are always my own and not my employer's, my church's, my family's, my neighbors', or my pets'. The house plants have authorized me to speak for them, however, and they always agree with me.
