“Democrats’ and independents’ views of which entity poses the greatest threat have changed substantially over the past decade, with both groups showing double-digit increases in the percentages naming big business…. Republicans’ opinions have not changed meaningfully since 2016; they overwhelmingly identify big government (77%) as the biggest threat.” - Gallup

Reality here is that too much big business functions significantly as a miner of government largesse, a great example being Tesla, and hence the problem of big government is to a great degree a problem of big business. The difficulty is that you've got to persuade voters that it is generally big business that can hire people for the purpose of mining government largesse, and that the only real solution is to rein in government to its Constitutional role in goods that are actually public goods.

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.

These are not in opposition. Big Government uses regulation to protect and strengthen big business.
