I can see his point about wanting to end the yearly drama on the question. Even if the BFM is already “clear enough,” it’s apparently not clear enough to stop people from proposing allegedly stronger language every year in amendments. So, if I were an SBC member, I could see voting yes on that along the reasoning of “I don’t think we need an amendment other than to stop people from proposing an amendment over and over, so let’s just do it.”
