“I want to argue, in echoing Kristian’s words in her Substack, that we do need CT. That as an institution, the success and proper functioning of Christianity Today is important for evangelicals.” - The Dispatch

NewI read the P&D article above…

I read the P&D article above after reading the C.Leaders article. The P&D article was very good and addressed what needed to be said. I have not paid much attention to CT for quite a while but the article about Elliot was way worse than what I even expected.

A couple of recent Substacks from people who used to work there, or contribute in some way.

I have often found CT interesting and thought-provoking. It is not on my list of places to go to be told what to think. Not that I have such a list. But it wouldn’t be on it if I did.

These days, I value interesting questions more than “safe” answers. I still value the tried and true answers, but I don’t grow from hearing those again (unless it’s been long enough to forget them). I do grow from interesting questions.

I hope CT weathers this and finds a healthy niche for the future.

Views expressed are always my own and not my employer's, my church's, my family's, my neighbors', or my pets'. The house plants have authorized me to speak for them, however, and they always agree with me.
