Whatever we believe about transition surgery, the thing that strikes me is that a requirement that healthcare providers provide this is a requirement that the provider hire staff and provide office space for this purpose. It’s not a huge imposition on big institutions like Cleveland or Mayo, but imagine the impact of this on a hospital where the budget is measured in mere millions of dollars instead of billions.

So even beyond freedom of conscience, this is a huge deal.

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
