Baptist Bulletin Podcast: What is a Regular Baptist?

By TylerR on Tue, 02/12/19
Regular Baptist
GARBC
Cultural Fundamentalism
Church and Biblical History

GARBC: Thankfully that brand [of cultural fundamentalism] has been dying a slow death. What we’re seeing now today in our circles … is an ardent commitment to biblical exegesis and biblical sufficiency and tying biblical truth to all of life - focusing on the heart, and heart change, from biblical truth. (15:00 - 15:30).

The ethos discussed in this podcast about Regular Baptist identity is exactly where I’m at. That is why the GARBC is an association a historic fundamentalist can get behind.

Tyler is a pastor in Olympia, WA and works in State government.

Thanks for posting this one. I didn’t even know they had a podcast.

Edit: I see this is the first episode. David Gunn was my professor for several classes. His dad was my Greek teacher as well as some other classes and I even had his brother for a history class. I have great respect for all of them.
