Experienced leaders who have survived for any period of time have learned sitting around pointing and pouting over struggles, problems or challenges without coming up with real solutions does nothing but creates a sub-cultural “stink” in the ministry. No - if we have no obvious solution - it’s better to just simply say, “here is a weakness we have and we’ll do the best we can.” Especially for the pastor who is responsible to accomplish at least 16 different exegetically defined “ministry tasks” it’s not helpful to listen to those who want to spend all their time focused on the two or three items you don’t excel in, especially when the critic is unwilling to put his/her own skin in the game to help us do better.
I have more opinion about that for the three people who want to hear more - Straight Ahead! jt
