I’m not well educated on SBC governing documents, but it appears that Greear named churches before there was any set of clear rules agreed upon by the SBC as a whole. I think he was right to name bad apples like Bolivar Baptist and its “pastor” Dickie Amyx, but he should have simply named offensive behaviors and invited the SBC as a whole to come up with best practices where failure could result in exclusion from the SBC.

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
