Fact Check: Did a Ukrainian Girl Confront a Russian Soldier?

The soldier is clearly saying “no” in Hebrew and Arabic. Interestingly, what might have thrown people off is the fact that the girl is blond, which isn’t super common, I believe, in Arabic communities.

Content like this is why I deactivated my FB and Twitter accounts over a year ago. It’s just a newer version of the stuff that used to fly around by email forward before most people were on social media. Those things are rarely true, and can mostly be ignored. Not sure why SI bothers with a thread about this. The target audience that usually forwards such content is not likely to be the kind that hangs around long here.
