That is not true. Christ is at the center of God’s plans for events to come. The re-gathered, restored nation of Israel will merely be the means Christ uses the achieve His ends in the Millennium. I fear that many dispensationalists, in their zeal to “rightly divide” the Scriptures and accurately interpret God’s covenant promises, become dangerously imbalanced on Israel. They forget that it isn’t about the Church now, or Israel later - it’s about God, and what Christ accomplishes for Him through Israel and the Church.
You cannot read the prophetic passages about Christ in the millennium and walk away with the idea that “Israel is at the center of God’s plans for events to come.”
“And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also. Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you,” Zechariah 8:21-23).
Does this passage give the impression that Israel is at the center of God’s plan for the world, or Christ? t is clear that Jews will act as Gospel messengers and ambassadors during this period. It is never about us now, and it will never be about Israel later. It is always about Christ. So sad.

Joel 2:30-31 I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, blood, fire and columns of smoke. The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes.
Those will be wonders! The Sun darkening and the Moon turning to blood will be a SUPERNATURAL event like what happened on the cross when the Sun darkened for 3 hours during a Full Moon (Passover is a Full Moon festival but eclipses of the Sun only happen during New Moons, and solar eclipses only last 3-11 minutes). Likewise, eclipses of the Moon are common events, about every year. I have personally observed many, probably about 2 dozen or more.
Whenever the Joel 2 and Rev 6 Sun and Moon events happen, NO ONE will think they are eclipses. They will know God is acting.
From the time I first read “The Late Great Planet Earth”, every time I hear people talking about signs, I recall what Jesus said about sign seekers. I also remember the time I was traveling and was so busy looking for signs I missed the exit.
