NewGonna be a hard sell
Dicey deals by Falwell are going back about a decade, so I think that Liberty has an uphill climb here to retrieve their severance pay for Falwell. Simple fact is that the university knew about many of these deals and in many cases even defended them, so to argue that somehow they were in the dark is to argue against their own PR statements.
Not trying to be a defender of Falwell by any means, and ten million smackeroos for getting thrown out on one’s keister for adultery and other misconduct is nauseating, but I don’t know how Liberty prevails here.
