“If the Supreme Court decides to let the airwaves be flooded with even more nudity, the viewing public may ironically not become more sexualized, but less.”

Let us remember some Biblical admonitions :

“Guard your heart, for out of it are the issues of life.” I have little control over governmental regulators, and probably less control over the broadcast media, but God gives me control over the On/Off switch of the TV, the choice of what I read and look at, and how I think.

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my Strength and my Redeemer.” The things I let influence my mind will ultimately affect my mouth, and these will have an impact on others.

“Bring every thought into captivity to Christ” Once again, God shows me my responsibility.

“Glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s” When the blood of Christ was applied to my salvation, Christ purchased not only my eternal soul, but my mortal body. I have a responsiblity in this body to see to bring glory to God, and that includes the things I watch and think about.

We would all do well to watch less TV, read more books, and interact with our families and friends more.
