Everything Carson says here is very interesting and insightful; even his thoughts on slowing down as he gets older. He spoke about how you can’t possibly do everything you did while you were young, so you must shed some things and focus on one or two things you can do very well with the limited energy you still have. That way, he says, you can still contribute meaningfully in a very targeted way and avoid bitterness at your own physical (and sometimes mental) decline.

Tyler is a pastor in Olympia, WA and works in State government.
