It grieves me, but I think this is about where we are as a national identity. We have been, and should have been, expecting national judgment to be sent, and that is what we are seeing. The entity of America as we like to remember it is changing. I would like to think that I will not see it in complete collapse in my lifetime (very Hezekiah-ish of me) but that may or may not happen. In any case, the options are clear: live normal lives; raise normal families; and occupy until He comes or you go. All this hand-wringing about the greatness of America being achieved again is for naught, I fear—a “dream…which ye cause[d] to be dreamed” if you please.
