I am wondering from the article whether the traditionalists know they are a minority, and the die is cast that they will need to either leave with a decent deal or just get shown the door. We could be talking about some horrendous issues for UMC churches in developing countries as their support—financial and spiritual—is cut off.

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
