The text of the bill also controversially refers to a fetus as an “unborn human individual,” and defines this explicitly as “an individual organism of the species homo sapiens from fertilization until live birth,” also a point of contention to pro-choice advocates.

They just can’t let it be “human” life.

Seems like the pro-life movement is finally mostly past the all or nothing approach. Progress has been made little by little in many places. The law will certainly be challenged in court though.
