I’m not sure I understand why people should be excluded from a class of jobs because of otherwise perfectly legal (if immoral) conduct that is unrelated to the performance of those jobs.

It was a little easier for me to understand a couple decades ago when sentiment against open service by gays and lesbians was so overwhelming. But that day has passed as shown by the recent Pentagon survey. Unit cohesion seems not to be a viable reason today. And if the reason is deeper, why be content with DADT for the military. Why not for public office? Government jobs? Private employment? Where does that end and what are the chances it comes back to bite Christians in the end?

Really not trying to be controversial. Just trying to see how others are thinking about this.
