I know that when a movie is based on a book, certain realities regarding production come in to play, but when the movie barely follows the premise, much less the plot, viewers are going to be dissatisfied. Take beloved classics and rewrite them on screen, and double the disappointment.

Since the second and third features were so awful, it’s probably best to give the series a rest. If the Lord tarries, someone can try again someday.
