I have seen footage and read a few articles from Dan Wallace (DTS and the Center for the Study of NT Manuscripts) where he remarks that new manuscript evidence may support 616 as the mark of the beast.
But if 616 is indeed the number of the beast, it will certainly have interesting implications. In the least, it will send seven tons of popular Christian literature to the flames!

That’s one thing I hate about new cars … the dreaded odometer rollover from 665 to 666.
Can you believe it … once I was driving from Seminole to Madeira Beach Florida AND the odometer rolled over to 666! I’m surely damned!
I always try to trade in the car below 600 miles, lest I offend the Lord or curse myself.
