Stephen Hawking: ‘There is no heaven; it’s a fairy story’ “I regard the brain as a computer which will stop working when its components fail. There is no heaven or afterlife for broken down computers; that is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark,”

NewScience doesn't govern anything.

The universe is governed by science.
This is nonsense, and unless Hawking was misquoted, this is an indication he’s not as smart as we’ve been led to believe.

At best, science can describe current theories on how the physical universe functions. What mankind thinks it knows about the universe is in constant flux.

Science doesn’t govern anything.

Despair does not lie in being weary of suffering, but in being weary of joy. G.K. Chesterton

“The universe is governed by science”

Science - methodical study of part of material world

When scientist’s look at the universe, the discover lots of things.
There are two primary questions they run into:

1.Where did all this matter come from.
2. Where did all this information come from that influences all this matter.
I like this statement I saw in the film : The Voyage that Shook the World:

“Modern biology is information science, and, as far as we know, information always has an intelligent source…so when we look at biology, we are looking at an automatic question,
‘Where does that information come from?’”

NewIntelligence and Ignorance

Stephen Hawking, I’ve been told, is a brilliant man. But every man is intelligent in some areas, and ignorant in others. Hawking has just spoken to an area of his ignorance. I pray he learns better.

We need to remember the statement of Paul to the Corinthians, “The world by wisdom does not know God” We know God through the Spirit’s enlightening as we meditate upon Scripture. When I was in the PhD track in physics as an unsaved student, I was impressed with the unity of the universe, and the way things worked so magnificently.
