NewI'm not sure what the purpose

I’m not sure what the purpose of this thread is but I suspect it is to denigrate the idea of people being helped by obtaining public assistance.
I don’t think it is right however to say they would all be spongers. There do exist even in affluent America people who simply don’t make enough money to get by in the same way as maybe you or I. I presume the Dallas authorities are doing this out of a desire to help the folks who are in need. One shouldn’t automatically assume this is some leftish plot or misuse of public funds.

[Richard Pajak] I’m not sure what the purpose of this thread is but I suspect….. I presume….. One shouldn’t automatically assume…..
Really? Is that the sound of someone jumping to conclusions?

Why is it that my voice always seems to be loudest when I am saying the dumbest things?

NewYes that was my conclusion.

Yes that was my conclusion. In other words Chip, that is what comes across to me. When we read something we think about what was written and why it was written and what is it trying to get across. I presume folk were meant to comment on the article which is what I was doing. You might disagree with me and perhaps I read its intentions wrongly but I am happy to acknowledge that . In your reply I notice that you didn’t mention what you thought the purpose of the article was.

Attempting to ascertain the intent behind postings is off topic and violates the CP. Filings are simply items of interest that have been submitted by users or chosen by the SI team.
