No such thing as good Islam, Baptist theologian argues When you start with an adulterous warrior-profit, who is literally anti-Christ (though touting a non-biblical version of Jesus), mix in generous helpings of totalitarianism and the marginalization/persecution of women and non-Muslims, and cultivate tribalism, legalism, and victimism, you have a recipe for disaster

Islam has robbed the Arab, Persian, and Aceh people (and many other people groups) of much of their dignity, and 9/11 has highlighted the humiliation, the mother of all debacles. While Communism birthed and destroyed itself in about eighty years, Islam’s self-ruination has run for centuries and centuries, even as it has grown, largely through intimidation and suffocation. When you start with an adulterous warrior-prophet, who is literally anti-Christ (though touting a non-biblical version of Jesus), mix in generous helpings of totalitarianism and the marginalization/persecution of women and non-Muslims, and cultivate tribalism, legalism, and victimism, you have a recipe for disaster.

Newmispelled word?

It looks like the work “prophet” is spelled correctly in the original article, but misspelled in the other, “profit.” Why would that be?

Not to mention “adulterous warrior-prophet” might well describe David, writer of many psalms, which is what I was thinking as soon as I read the thread topic, but before I clicked on the thread.

Why would that be?

Answer: Not sure but I posted it as it was spelled in the Orlando Sentinal article.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sic] SIC (which I put in brackets ‘[] ‘) means “appears exactly as in the original source”

I presume the O.S. editor had a spelling lapse.
