What Is Your Favorite Minor Prophet

In the Hebrew Bible, the Minor Prophets are included in one book called “The Twelve.” The term “Minor” does not mean insignificant, but rather small, short in chapters. Some of the great prophecies of Scripture are contained in these mighty books.

Which is your favorite and why? Zechariah is mine. Zechariah 12:8-10 are amazing verses:

On that day the LORD will shield those who live in Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of the LORD going before them. On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem.

“And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.

The Horsemen from Revelation first appear here, and the Feast of Tabernacles as the Millennial Feast is found in Zechariah. Zechariah 2:8-10 and 12:8-10 both evidence that the One God is more than one Person, as Yahweh refers to Himself as both “me” and “he.”

Pretty weird, Alex. But it shows how much certain styles of preaching are “taught” and not innate.
