an interesting book.

Hoping to shed more light than heat..

Oats’ book is a good survey of the way ecclesiology divided the Fundamentalists from the modernists as well as, later, the new evangelicals. At the end of the book, I was left wanting him to offer a fundamentalist, dispensational ecclesiology to forge a way ahead, but all in all, it was a beneficial read.
