While it doesn’t happen often at our house, I find it instructive when the power goes out. The most recent power outage for us was this past Winter … just for perhaps 2-3 hours.
It was after dark.
Kathee scrambled to find a flashlight … which did not work
With the furnace off, the house cooled considerably (the cats seemed worried!)
Finally she lit candles and we had a romantic evening and went to bed early
I’m not sure how many campers are on S/I, but tent camping is a great experience to get away from technology.
