It is patently silly to propose that young people (and adults) are not affected by what we see and hear, especially if it is something of which we have a steady diet. And I’m floored by the content of movies and books marketed to the YA crowd.

For instance, the movie Clueless and the tv show Buffy, the Vampire Slayer have actually changed the way people talk- even those who have never seen either one. It follows that kids can’t take in a regular diet of sexual situations and not be influenced and severely tempted to engage in sexual behavior.
