Most come to Christ through those avenues: Something was broken, missing or changed

Why do people come to Christ?

NewEvery body's broken

Since all are sinners, everyone is broken. Everyone who comes to Christ first, comes to a realization of his sinful, broken condition before he comes to faith in Christ as the only one who can heal him. The real question might be, how does anyone come to Christ without being broken?

NewA lot more ability to be broken these days...

I also agree with the assessment, but will add a little more.

The world, flesh, and devil have more tools at their disposal to “break” people with more regrets, sin, and misery than in years past.

We do see “broken” people saved, but they now come with more drug habits, porn addictions, multiple children out of wedlock or abortions, diseases, or mind-altering medications. The ministry of seeing people in such situations learn Christlikeness is so much more up and down and difficult.

NewJohn 6:44

Fri, 08/02/13

“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him.” (John 6:44)

My conclusion: All who come to Christ come because they were drawn by the Father. See the fishing analogy in John 21. The Father is the actor, the saved sinner is the acted upon.
