Who really lives this way?

Is it a lack of faith to prepare a grocery list?

Is it a lack of faith to schedule a vacation?

It it a lack of faith to work out a household budget?

For a local church,

Is it a lack of faith to schedule a conference or revival?

Is it a lack of faith to work out a church budget?

Is it a lack of faith to remodel the sanctuary in order to draw people into the building?

These arguments are similar to the idealistic philosophy professor who argues that since we can’t prove that what we see is real, it does not truly exist. He wakes up in the morning, places his feet on floor, and expects it to hold his weight. He turns the ignition key and expects the car to start every time, and probably becomes upset if the car doesn’t start. The floor and the car are real, whether one can “prove” it or not.

Good sense makes one slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense.
