I’d summarize as such: Be fruitful and multiply, but that does not mean getting your wife maimed or killed. My wife and I stopped at six when a doctor in the Mayo system asked for a more senior obstetrician to do the C section. We figured that if Mayo doctors were getting nervous, we’d take the hint and be content with our half-dozen blessings. (and love on other peoples’ kids too)

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
