The Gospel

We’ve got to get more serious about the gospel, what it is and what we say that it is or what we will allow to be called the gospel.

I think this is an excellent article. You may not like it, but it deserves some consideration.

Tyler is a pastor in Olympia, WA and works in State government.

It seems to me that Brandenburg should follow this up. Lot to be said on this.

Brandenburg points out a deadly flaw in much of modern fundamentalism. If one’s view of the gospel is not right, what else matters in comparison?

NewYou certainly don’t want to

Tue, 01/26/16

You certainly don’t want to deceive people into thinking they are saved because they said a prayer or acknowledged certain truths yet at the same time you don’t want to go to the other extreme and mandate requirements for salvation the Bible doesn’t teach.

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise” (Ephesians 1:13)
