I get so tired of people treating animals as if they are just like humans instead of creatures that we are meant to subdue and rule over in stewardship. And yet I continually encounter the following attitude: if you don’t believe that cats and dogs have souls, that their lives have equal worth to that of humans, then you are a horrible person who thinks all animals should be slaughtered.

I’m sure it’s my fault somehow, but I still shake my head when I hear someone refer to their pets as their “children.” But I have learned to just keep walking, so to speak.
