Democrats Have a Religion Problem

Democratic Party

“There’s a religious illiteracy problem in the Democratic Party. It’s tied to the demographics of the country: More 20- and 30-year-olds are taking positions of power in the Democratic Party. They grew up in parts of the country where navigating religion was not important socially and not important to their political careers.”

It’s worth remembering that for all their talk about how “welcoming” Democrats supposedly were about pro-lifers, whenever someone wanted to go onto the national stage in that party, they “amazingly” became pro-choice in short order. Same thing with a number of other issues—I remember Al Gore used to be pro-life, and a host of others whose names escape me. Lieberman abandoned a lot of his principles in the same way, really.

It’s inescapable, really, when the party is not only about allowing abortion, but is really now centered around federal and state funding for abortuaries. Long way from “letting the markets decide”, to put it mildly.

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
