This kind of thing makes me sick. Jeffress is a Pastor of a local Baptist church - not the High Priest of Christian Americana. If Jeffress had simply preached the Gospel to Trump and called him to repentance and faith in Christ, I’d have respect for him. I read his transcript. It’s stupid. It’s not what the passage is about, or what it’s teaching. Stupid. Idiotic. Dumb - and any other negative adjectives you can think of; they all describe Jeffress’ bit of civic propaganda.

Tyler is a pastor in Olympia, WA and works in State government.

….wasn’t Jeffress one of those who endorsed Trump early on? I’m pretty sure he was, so at least we give him credit for trying to keep the President honest.

Pastor Jeffries never fails to embarrass me as a Christian when he is interviewed. The Inaugural “Sermon” was the most shallow bit of sycophancy I think I have ever seen on the national stage.

NewI think of the OT "prophets"

I think of the OT “prophets” who crafted their messages to fit the agenda of the king.
