The Uniqueness of University Evangelism

University Evangelism

While it may be considered impolite in much of society to try to convert people to your belief system, on university campuses this is essentially what everyone’s trying to do to everyone else, with vigor. The free market of ideas and the discussions that ensue inside and outside the lecture room aren’t value-neutral exchanges, but rather places of persuasion where individuals debate and accept differing explanations of the good, the true, and the beautiful. Evangelism fits right in.

NewWorth noting...

Sun, 07/02/17

…is that my coming to Christ was because a guy named Hal Miller decided to make the University of Northern Iowa “not dead to fundamentalists”, and one of the guys he led to Christ there came to MSU and discipled the guys that led me to Christ. Universities do not need to be fundamental dead zones, though I would concur that at times, doing things from a perspective like that of the FBFI would make things more difficult.

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
