Do you consider the church you attend fundamentalist, as you define the term?

WE have had many discussions on SI about what it means to be a fundamentalist. Your definition might not fit mine, and vice versa. We generally recognize Gospel-believing churches as evangelical, conservative evangelical, fundamental; I would add a fourth category: extremely fundamental.

By my definition, here is a rough breakdown that has many exceptions:

A Hyles-Anderson KJV only type church would be extremely fundamental.

An IFCA or Grace Brethren church and most independent Baptist churches would be fundamental.

An Ev. Free or CMA church would be conservative evangelical.

Many seeker sensitive churches or charismatic non-denom would be evangelical.

But that is my perspective. Use your own definition based upon the actual church you attend.

But, as you define the term, is the church you now attend fundamental? This is not asking if you advertise or promote your church as fundamental. That is a different question.

NewI attend an Evangelical Free

Sat, 08/12/17

I attend an Evangelical Free church, so I marked “conservative evangelical.” I was surprised to find out how many other church members come from a fundamental Baptist background. Our song leader is the son of one of my Pillsbury College professors.
