NewNot "controlling"

Fri, 06/14/19

The phenomenon they’re calling “controlling” seems to really be a parent who is out of control of him/herself. It’s not controlling parenting; it’s random, emotion-driven parenting.

I’m reminded of the old adage that if you want lead, first lead yourself. In parenting, it means before you parent, become a grown-up.

Views expressed are always my own and not my employer's, my church's, my family's, my neighbors', or my pets'. The house plants have authorized me to speak for them, however, and they always agree with me.
