Socialism

“Christians who oppose government intervention are often accused of harboring indifference, or antipathy, for the poor. But an abundance of evidence from two continents shows that welfare state policies actually reduce the wealth of the poor and raise prices, while benefiting the upper-middle class and well-connected corporations at taxpayers’ expense.” - Acton

NewNo surprise

Thu, 12/05/19

To anyone who has ever visited Gary, Detroit, the South Side of Chicago, South Central LA, or any number of other urban war zones, this comes as absolutely zero surprise. One of the things that I find most amazing (as in amazingly dense and appalling) about President Obama is that he worked for 20 years in the South Side without ever apparently figuring out that maybe the problem was the system he was trying to put into place.

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
