What Did Church Membership Classes Look Like in the First Century?

Church Membership

“This kind of training seems to have started very early in church history, even during the apostolic age. So it is worth asking the questions: what did the apostolic church teach new believers? What were the fundamentals of the faith? What did early Christian catechism look like?” - Wyatt Graham

I personally have a problem getting a “basics for new believers list” from this passage in Hebrews. It is only a sampling of the kinds of things that new believers learn, not an outline. I was hoping to see more info from the early church fathers, etc. Disappointed.

I must crash this party to note that the author of Hebrews did not write Heb 6:1-3 so we could know how to structure membership classes! That is all …
