On the Vanity Fair interview: “Among the revelations is Falwell’s admission that he’s not ‘a religious person.’ People think that “because of my last name … but I’m not. My goal was to make them realize I was not my dad.” - C.Leaders

NewI am also not a preacher....

….but I would hope that I would describe myself as a religious person! There is something in me that wonders if Falwell is part of the flock at all, or whether his entire life is a colossal fraud—or perhaps, per Moore’s comments, a colossal group of warning signs that those around him should have heeded. I’ve not been enough of a close observer to come anywhere close to comprehensive, but the white trash pictures, doing the hip thrusts with the coeds on the bar (risking serious injuries to all three participants), the sweetheart deal to the tennis club off campus, and early support of Trump (and harsh suppression of those at Liberty who objected) are examples of places where the trustees at Liberty ought to have said “Jerry, we need to have a talk about this.”

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
