NewI was hoping someone would post this
I was hoping someone would post this article as a SI Filing. It is excellent. He recognizes that not everyone who used the term “Christian Nationalism” means the same thing, but also points out that what some people are promoting as “Christian Nationalism” is clearly something that Christians should reject. I wish everyone who talks about the subject would be as fair while still sounding a warning.
His article also shows us that regardless of how the term has been used in the past, it’s usage is now being defined in such a way that Christians may not be able to use it any more. It is sad how many words and phrases have been weaponized and/or redefined over the past decade, but we must still live within the reality whether we like it or not. Still let us make sure to extend grace to those who use terms that may not have meant what you are told they meant- especially when many of those people may not have gotten the memo that their meaning has changed.
