NewA quibble, or maybe not
“despite what our culture says”… There is plenty wrong with our culture, but I want to point out that this interest in prayer is not “despite” what our culture says. It is our culture saying. I feel like it matters, because the mantra these days is that American culture is all bad all the time. The truth is more complex.
