“If we want to be better theologians, we must take ourselves less seriously to take God more seriously. When it comes to our knowledge of God, we need to realize we’re all idiots.” - TGC

NewWorth reading for this one quote

First, I think it is possible to approach theology with necessary humility without referring to each other or oneself as idiots. That terminology seem needlessly derogatory.

But having said that, I found this quote to be great:

J. P. shares an anecdote of telling a friend “Great job!” after a sermon. His friend replied ever so piously, “Oh, it was all God,” to which J. P. replied, “If it was all God, it would have been a lot better than that!”

NewJob

I'm finishing up a series from the book of Job this weekend. The entire book is helpful with maintaining perspective, and especially the last few chapters.
