“What makes it worse is that the casino’s dopamine rush has come to our pockets via apps like Kalshi and Polymarket. They use the language of prediction markets to push their products, but there’s little practical difference between the services they offer and those marketed by DraftKings or FanDuel.” - TGC

NewSometimes these articles…
Sometimes these articles steer toward the evil side of gambling and not a broader balanced view. Some elements of prediction markets are bad, but in some cases there is overlap between that an investing vehicles. We say no sports betting, but many Christians participate in fantasy football leagues and brackets with prizes at the end (albeit small). It also doesn't highlight whether a healthy approach to gambling that may be rooted in just having fun. I am not a proponent of gambling and I personally don't participate in any form of gambling, there is a lot of grey at the edges. I have strong conservative friends that are vehemently against gambling, but they will play in the Bingo game night on their cruise while on vacation. So I think there is a lot of misapplication, or maybe misunderstanding.
