As a guy who has been a pastor of the same small, country church for 15 years, I was greatly encouraged to keep on working hard, studying hard, praying hard, and loving the people God has given me to shepherd. There are times where I have been made to feel a bit like a failure because of continuing to stay at the same church in a community of 500 people. I see the growth of the people in the congregation - I see the relationships built in this insulated little town, and I know that God has kept me here for a reason. I needed this during a challenging time in the ministry!
