The gift is one of the largest ever given to a church in Minnesota. In fact, no larger gift was given to any church in the nation in 2015, according to the Chronicle of Philanthropy.

We were similarly blessed at our church when an attender (non-member) sought me out and wanted to pay off the remaining mortgage on our (well-used) building. We had not made any progress on paying off the building in the year I had been there. The difference: our mortgage was $8000. But we glorified God just as much!
