Now, I’m sad to say, I’ve looked for a church that bears these marks my entire life…sadly, all I’ve seemed to come up with are those that are held in the grip of some sort of denominational teaching and aren’t all that interested in meeting all ( or even most of ) the points listed in this article. I would spend the rest of my life in a church like this, and gladly. Smile

Brings to mind 2 Peter 1:20

Why is it that my voice always seems to be loudest when I am saying the dumbest things?

NewI loved Eric Davis' article..

Each point he unpacked about the “Spirit filled” church is illustrated in our own church and for that I am profoundly grateful, especially because I know that churches like these are far and few between. Of course no church exists that is perfect, nor practices these things perfectly..any local body is a work in progress. The climb into and around in this “progress” has great sanctifying power as we continue to build and maintain healthy relationships in the Body of Christ among a people who, most often, are very different from us in the fleshly context.

Sort of along these lines…I just read an article about a purported “leader”/author in Christiandom about why he doesn’t attend a church. So sad, I mean really, truly sad..
